In addition to non-waterproof watches, general waterproof functions can be roughly divided into: primary life waterproofing, advanced enhanced waterproofing, and professional-level diving watch waterproofing levels.
Usually there are four marked waterproof units on the bottom of the watch, such as: Bar (pressure), ATM (atmospheric pressure), M (meter), FT (feet) and other units.
The conversion is: 330FT=100 meters=10ATM=10Bar.
Non-waterproof watch: usually refers to a watch with a waterproof capability of less than 30 meters. It is not recommended for this type of watch to come into contact with moisture. If the surface is dripped or stained by water, it needs to be wiped dry as soon as possible. If the wearer sweats a lot while wearing it, he may wish to find an opportunity to take off the watch and dry it first.
Daily waterproofing: If a watch is advertised as 50-100 meters waterproof, it can probably be classified into the daily waterproof range. This type of waterproof watch is less afraid of sweat, water droplets splashed when washing hands, raindrops and other water sources. Splashing water droplets will not cause harm to it, but if the watch is soaked in water such as bathing, swimming, etc., it will not be good.
Enhanced waterproofing: Watches with a waterproof level of 100 meters to 200 meters can be classified into the field of enhanced waterproofing. Watches of this level do not need to be afraid of water. They can handle bathing, swimming and even surfing, but this is the limit. , do not regard it as a professional watch that can engage in diving tasks, because this kind of watch still has risks in the waterproof design. If you really need to engage in diving tasks, you still have to rely on the following waterproof watches.
Diving watch waterproof: At present, if a watch is marked with a 300-meter waterproof function, it can be regarded as the threshold of a diving watch. A more professional watch can reach 600 meters or even exceed 1,000 meters. This type of watch meets our characteristics of a “diving watch”. Because in addition to its tight structure, the pressure resistance of the watch case itself is enough to withstand the high pressure underwater, so you can rest assured when wearing this type of waterproof watch when diving.
The 200-meter waterproof watch is a water-resistant diving watch. For example, it is no problem to go swimming or snorkeling occasionally. 300 meters is considered a professional entry-level diving watch, and it can handle general 10-meter experience diving and 20-meter depth diving without any problem.
